The person has got me choked this week when planning my departure from New York was Beth. Nothing she said directly but while we were excitedly discussing the Portland branch of Recess, I told her I wanted to say good bye to our NY pups. And then it happened, that lump in your throat that you try to swallow. I had to look away because I think it went through her mind as well if she wasn't able to see our adopted kids every day.
I know that I am making the right decision because every time I see a dog on the street, I smile. I am so happy to begin this journey in a career I would have never thought about prior to coming to New York. I am so glad I met Beth and our friendship and her business grew. I adore that fact that she followed her dream. I am looking forward to following mine.
